Sometimes I'm a little nutty

It's three months before Parker's birthday and I've pretty much finished planning. I'm a huge planner...always have been. If I don't have everything planned out well in advance for any event I get really anxious and panicky haha.

I made the invites, his party hat and shirt that he will wear, guest list, menu, and the gift we're going to get him. We have waaaaay more people on the list than I thought we'd have, but when you have tons of family I guess that's to be expected!

For those interested, this is the rundown of his party:

Menu
  1. Big chicken and sausage gumbo
  2. Brisket
  3. Fruit/Veggie tray
  4. Chips and dip
  5. beverages
I know, I know...but it's not catered! I don't understand people who go all out and hire a caterer for a child's birthday party. It's ridiculous and a waste of money. Parker isn't going to care that we won't have penne with vodka sauce.

I will be changing the picture to one of him with a teeny little Parker sized cake.

I'm still debating on whether I want to make a banner or not, and I need to redo the hat. Those will only take me an hour or two. I do need to get some fun things for the older kids to do, and maybe some junk for goody bags for them, but I'm not going all out. Any opinions or suggestions are more than welcome!

How did you make the shirt?!

  3. The shirt was so simple! I cut the "one" out of fabric and used a fabric adhesive to attach it to the shirt. that's it!
